The Bannock County Democratic 2012 Presidential Caucus will be held Saturday, April 14th at ISU's Graveley Hall, in the Political Science Department Library, 743 South 8th, Building 15 in Pocatello. The caucus doors will open at exactly 9:00 AM and close promptly at 10:00 AM. PLEASE NOTE: Caucus rules state no one will be allowed in after 10:00 AM, so please be there early.

Every four years Idaho Democrats come together in county caucuses to select their Presidential nomination and elect delegates to the State Convention. This is a wonderful way to come together, be among friends and celebrate President Barack Obama's re-election campaign. After delegates are elected to represent Bannock County at the State Convention in Boise, they will have the opportunity to be elected as Idaho’s National Delegates and help craft our Party platform at the Democratic National Convention next September in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Special activities for the caucus will include the presenting of short, well-crafted speeches from those hoping to become delegates. Selecting a Presidential candidate is always exciting, and we look forward to gathering with Democrats throughout Bannock County to gear up for the 2012 elections. Together, we can help give President Obama a second term.

Caucus participants must be registered voters and pledge themselves as Idaho Democrats in order to participate in the Bannock County Democratic Caucus. To facilitate this process, a registration table will be set up to qualify new voters and to train those in attendance in caucus participation. Participants are prohibited from participating in any other party’s caucus.
