Dave Finkelnburg, Chairman of the Bannock County Democrats for the last two-and-a-half years, will be stepping down from his post on Tuesday, September 22nd.
In a letter to the Bannock County Democrats, Finkelnburg writes, “It’s been an enormous privilege to work with you. After two-and-a-half years working for local Democrats, though, it’s time for me to focus on other things.”
Finkelnburg said that since he first won the leadership post, he’s learned it’s a job that always provides surprises and challenges, but that standing up for what’s right is what makes it such a fulfilling endeavor.
The Bannock County Democrats have organized a committee to recruit and interview Democrats residing in Bannock County who may be interested in running for the voluntary position of Chairperson. This leadership position is open to any and all Bannock County residents who support Idaho Democratic Party principles and goals: that we are greater when we work together than we are on our own; that we succeed when everyone gets a fair shot, everyone does their fair share, and everyone plays by the same rules; and that we work together to make progress on issues that affect all our citizens, like job creation, equal pay, education, health care and energy.
