NEW LOCATION FOR MARCH 22nd CAUCUS!

LOCATION CHANGE FOR BANNOCK COUNTY DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENTIAL CAUCUS, TUESDAY, MARCH 22

POCATELLO – Linda Leeuwrik, co-chair of the Bannock County Democratic Party, is pleased to announce that online advanced reservations for the county's presidential caucus have climbed so quickly that turnout is now expected to exceed all previous estimates. With our Democratic presidential candidates generating so much interest and excitement and the number of Democrats in Bannock County growing, we have exceeded the capacity of our original caucus location and have had to find a much larger space.

On Tuesday, March 22, 2016, the Bannock Democratic Presidential Caucus will now be held in the Shoshone-Bannock Hotel and Event Center, located at 777 Bannock Trail, Fort Hall, ID 83203. The Event Center, adjacent to the popular Fort Hall Casino, just off Interstate 15 (Exit 80) and 10 miles north of Pocatello, can accommodate approximately 2000 attendees. Check-in will begin at 5:00 p.m. and the caucus will begin promptly at 7 p.m. Anyone inside the building by 7 p.m. will be admitted to the caucus.

Buses to transport caucus participants from Pocatello to the Event Center in Fort Hall on March 22 are also being arranged. An announcement will be made when this has been worked out.

Anyone who wants to participate as a Democrat, did not vote in any other party's primary, and will be a registered voter of the county on November 8, 2016 is eligible to take part in the caucus. Online advanced reservation is still available at idahodems.org and will expedite the check-in process. The meeting is open to the media and the public. For more information about the Bannock County Democratic Caucus, please contact Linda Leeuwrik at bannockdemocrats@gmail.com or (208) 234-8908.
