Shelley Allen to speak on SD#25 Supplemental Levy at Bannock County Democrats' Political Soup luncheon this Wednesday, March 8th

The Bannock County Democrats invite the public to our monthly Political Soup luncheon on Wednesday, March 8. This month, Shelley Allen, Community Relations and Communications Specialist at Pocatello-Chubbuck School District 25, will be speaking about the district's supplemental levy, which is up for renewal and will be put to a vote on March 14.

Ms. Allen will provide important information about the levy that has been in place for over 60 years to support programs in our district. The supplemental levy requires a simple majority of 50 percent to pass. Polls are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14 and early walk-in voting is available now at the Bannock County Elections Office (the Old Jail next to the Courthouse, open M–F, 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m.).

Political Soup is held at the Bannock County Democrats’ headquarters at 355 Yellowstone Ave in Pocatello (across the street from Mama Inez restaurant), with parking behind the building. Lunch will be served between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., with the program beginning at noon. A small donation is appreciated.
